The Lord has been speaking to me lately about a not so very popular subject… suffering. God is preparing His people for the tribulation that is coming into this world – a time that will bring with it much suffering for those who are faithfully following Jesus Christ. Yet Jesus tells us, even in this, we are to take heart for He has overcome the world. (John 16:33)

As a Believer, the Lord wants you to be encouraged. He wants you to remember that even in times of suffering, you have reasons to rejoice for it is written that we should “glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope.” Romans 5:3-4

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to His great mercy, He has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. (1 Peter 1:3)

God’s word prepares us for and warns us of what is to come. It clearly informs us that all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. Therefore, we should not be surprised when a fiery trial comes to test us. We should not act as if something strange is happening. God’s word further tells us that when we are persecuted on account of Jesus, we are considered blessed for this is evidence that the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon us. This is not the same kind of suffering that befalls us as the result of sin, such as murder or adultery. The suffering we encounter on account of Jesus is not a shameful suffering for it glorifies God. Sinful suffering does not benefit us, it destroys us. Whereas God causes all righteous suffering to work together for the good of those who are called according to His purpose.

We should remember that even though we will be afflicted, we are not destroyed and even though we may not understand everything that is happening to us, we are not to allow it to drive us to a point of despair for we have a hope – that is Jesus Christ – within us that sustains us until the Lord delivers us from it all. “And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.” 1 Peter 5:10

Child of God, you have been given the privilege to fellowship with God which is what you do when you engage in an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. It is an honor to suffer and be tested for His sake. In and of itself, that privilege alone would be enough but furthermore, God has blessed you to receive benefits on account of your righteous suffering and if your faith is genuine, you will come through it all complete and lacking nothing. “Count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” James 1:2-4

Be encouraged my brothers and sisters. Though suffering must come, God will not allow you to be tempted beyond your ability. He will always provide a way out so that you will be able to endure it. Look for it. On the other hand, if you are not willing to carry the cross that has been handed to you, know that you will be rejected and considered not worthy of Him. Although suffering will bring pain, it will yield a peaceful fruit. “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in Heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” Matthew 5:10-12

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

You, my friend, are not alone and we are not to walk this journey alone. It is our charge as Believers to bear one another’s burdens. In this, we are fulfilling the law of Christ. (Galatians 6:2) In the natural, suffering is not pleasant. However, in the spirit, it is good for us and the benefits are many. Granted, this is all a mystery. You will be tempted however, do not turn from it and do not despise it. “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?” Romans 8:35

Though we (Believers) are being killed all the day long and are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered, we shall resolve to continue on for His sake. Neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.  (Romans 8:35-39)

When you are temped to turn away from the cup of suffering that is handed to you, remember that God’s grace is sufficient and His power is made perfect in your weakness. (2 Corinthians 12:7-10) “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

Those who suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in that name. To this, you have been called because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example so that you might follow in His steps, and those who endure it to the end will be saved.

On May 13th, 2017, I received a dream from the Lord. I have posted this dream previously in my blog, but I feel an urgency to repost this message again…

God is consistently reaching out to His people in these last days. He is warning His Church, the Body of Christ, to get their “house” in order for He is preparing them for the imminent return of Jesus Christ.

In this dream, I was the subject the Lord used to deliver this message. I saw myself managing a multi-family community. In the community, there were many buildings. In each building were two single-story apartments on the left – one on the top-level and the other on the lower-level – and one two-story townhouse on the right. I saw myself going from building to building examining everyone’s home in the community for cleanliness. I checked the outside and then I checked the inside. I also went to the rear of the house and checked the patios and porches as well. I examined each apartment and townhouse thoroughly for cleanliness and I noted any trash or debris. At the homes where I found trash, I left a notice for the residents to remove it all and informed them that they were in violation. Each notice included a warning that also informed them that I would be returning soon but on an unspecified date. The notice stated that when I returned, a penalty would be imposed on those who chose to ignore my warning and remain in violation. Those residents would incur a penalty that included the enforcement of an eviction.

Some of the residents in the community were obedient and heeded my warning by quickly cleaning their home and removing all the trash. Yet, some were complacent, not thinking it important, and did nothing at all. Others were angry and insisted that I explain to them why they had to comply with my rules. For they felt it was their life and their home therefore, they should be able to live it any way they chose. I explained to these residents that the property they were living on belonged to me and, therefore, I had the right to impose and enforce any rule I felt necessary to keep my property in good condition. I explained to them that they would not live in my community forever, for one day they would have to move on. But while they were here, it would be wise for them to abide by my rules and learn from them for they were in place only for their good. I also informed them that one day, they would desire to move to a more luxurious home. When that day came, they would require a recommendation and referral from me before they would be permitted to move there. I further explained that without my approval, the only type of home they would be able to access would be substandard and guaranteed to be not to their liking. I then awoke from this dream.

Later, the Lord gave me the interpretation… He showed me that in the dream, I was the Landlord and was representing Jesus, the Master Property Manager. The buildings in this dream represented locations all over the world. The apartments and town homes represented three categories of people who make up this world. There were the lower-level apartments that represented the poor, those who are considered the least in this world. There were the upper-level apartments that represented those who are considered above the least in this world. Then there were the two-story townhouses that represented the wealthy and rich in this world. In the dream, they all lived together in one building for the Lord is no respecter of persons who sees and treats everyone the same. We must all meet His requirements and we are all expected to comply regardless of who we are and what we have. My access to all of the homes represents the Lord and His access to everything in our lives. Nothing we do and nothing we feel is hidden from Him. I examined the outside of the home which represents the outer appearance that we show to the world. I examined the interior of the home which represents our motives and intentions that are hidden inside of our hearts. Finally, while inside the homes, I examined the patios and porches which represent the secret trash we hold on to and are hesitant to get rid of and hand over to the Lord.  There is nothing we can hide from God. He sees it all.

Child of God, the Lord is giving you every chance to repent and return to Him. He is speaking to you personally which is the conviction you are experiencing and He is bringing others to warn you as well. You have been adequately prepared and warned. There will be no excuses when your time comes to leave this life and move on into eternity. When that time comes, are you sure about where you will go? Is your life cluttered with the trash of sin and disobedience? If so, will you heed God’s warning and rid yourself of it all before it is too late? When Jesus returns, will you be in right standing with Him? Will you receive a good reference and be approved to move on into the glorious presence of the Lord? Or will you be denied and rejected? Quite simply, will you make it into Heaven or are your destined for Hell? There are many, many former Christians who are spending eternity there and regret not heeding the voice of the Lord when they had the chance. The choice is truly yours.

“Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is Holy, and you are that temple.” 1 Corinthians 3:16-17

The process of being conformed to the image of God’s son, Jesus Christ, and being transformed into His nature is certainly not for everyone.

Following Jesus Christ does not come without many sacrifices made and high costs being paid. Only those who are truly desperate for a deeper, more powerful relationship with God are willing to go through all that is required to weather them, mature them and purify them.

Only those who are willing to allow God to stretch them will encounter what transcends our wildest imagination. Only those will experience the most amazing and rewarding relationship made available to mankind.

Many are not willing to pay the price required to achieve God’s definition of righteousness. The fear of man labeling them a self-righteous, overly religious fanatic is too much for most to bear. Many also fear the supernatural and feel that submerging themselves into the depths of the unknown is far too intimidating.

Mature Christians have discovered that their level of spiritual gain is based on their degree of fleshly loss. We must be willing to die to self and we must be willing to lose all that we believe gives us life here on this Earth to truly live for Jesus Christ. Anything that does not draw you closer to the Lord, draws you further away from Him and keeps you from experiencing the most intimate relationship with God made possible on this side of Heaven.

Child of God, you must know that for you to go deeper with God, you must be willing to reach further beyond the basic Christian requirement of reconciliation with the Father. Allowing God to have His way with you so that He can purge your flesh, your soul and your spirit, will hasten your sanctification. And why do you need to go through this?

In order to progress in your walk with the Lord, God needs to purge your flesh of sin and carnality. He needs to purge your soul so that He can cleanse your mind of unrighteous thoughts and emotions. This includes your stubborn nature and all of your false self-assurances. He needs to purge your spirit of your self-righteousness and your self-sufficiency. All this is necessary for you to be move to a level of spiritual maturity where you can receive the fullness of all God has for you.

The Lord was in the process of purging me of a stronghold that was hindering my spiritual growth, as well as my ministry, at the time that I received the following vision. I would not have believed this about myself if the Lord had not allowed me to have this experience.

In the early part of 2016, I lay in bed one night wide awake for I was restless and could not sleep. My husband, who slept through this entire experience, was laying next to me sound asleep.

in the distance I heard the sound of what I can only describe as a whirlwind. I did not see the whirlwind itself but, I could hear it. As it came closer to me, it’s sound became louder and stronger and intensity. At the same time, I saw a small, bright light appear and grow, widening and spreading, until it consumed my bedroom. I could see nothing around me but a brilliant light. It was brighter than anything I had ever seen. I was not frightened for knew that it had come from the Lord. In fact, I lifted my head up off my pillow and struggled to hear what I hoped would be God’s Voice through the sound of the whirlwind which was getting louder and stronger.

You see, in the summer of 2001, I heard the Lord audibly call out my first name. The night that it happened also found me in bed. When I heard the Lord’s voice, I was frightened. All I could do was cover my head with my bed sheet, and I did not respond. As I lay there, I listened intently waiting to hear something else but, the Lord did not say another word. The next morning after recovering from the shock of the experience  and explaining everything to my husband, I prayed and ask God why He didn’t say more to me. I did not get a response at that time. I came to the conclusion that God did not speak further because I did not respond to Him. So I made a promise to God that if He ever saw fit to speak to me again, I would most definitely respond.

So as the light in my room  grew brighter and the whirlwind grew stronger, I struggled to listen for the sound of the Lord’s voice hoping that He would speak to me again – however He did not.

The brilliant light in my bedroom consumed everything, and although I could see nothing around me I could still move around as I lay on my back in my bed. Then out of the corner of my right eye I saw a figure. The bodily figure stood to my right and was even brighter than the brilliant light that had consumed my room. As my eyes focused on the form, I saw it lean over and place its arms under my body. Then I felt my body begin to lift up off the bed.

Within a split second, many thoughts began to flood my mind. I was reminded of a prophecy that was spoken over me, also in 2001, by a woman of God who told me that the Lord had spoken to her about me. She said that He had instructed her to anoint my feet for I would walk on Holy Ground. I also had thoughts of my four-year-old grandson growing up without me. I remembered my son whom I have not seen in over 10 years, my two daughters whom I love dearly as well as the lives of my four sisters. Finally, I remembered the plans my husband and I had made for our future.

Then suddenly, a different thought occurred to me. “What if the Lord is taking me away and I am not able to return.” I then thought to myself, “I am not ready.” So I reached out my left hand to feel for my husband, who was laying next to me, and I grabbed his pajamas. Within an instant after grabbing ahold of my husbands pajamas, everything disappeared. The sound of the whirlwind stopped, the brilliant light vanished and the Angelic vision was gone. I immediately woke up my husband and told him everything that had happened.

Later that morning, after praying to God about my experience, the Lord spoke to my spirit. He explained to me that He allowed me to experience the vision so that I could learn a few things about myself. He wanted me to know that He has called me for a work but, until I am willing to break the ties that are binding me, He would not be able to use me to the extent that He desires.

Jesus said, ” If any man come to Me and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yae, and his own life also he cannot be My disciple.” Luke 14:26

Reading and understanding the scripture above in its context, we know that this statement is a metaphor. Jesus, in essence, was saying that we must count the cost of discipleship and be willing to pay it to follow Him. He is also saying that we must also understand that if we desire to be His disciple we must be willing to give up everything for Him. Jesus sacrificed everything He had to give for our salvation. The question He asks His Church is just how much are we willing to give up for Him?

This message is for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear.

God is calling you… He is always speaking to those whose ears will hear Him. God declares His divine nature and magnificent power to His children through all that is experienced in the Heavens, on the Earth and throughout life itself.

God goes through great lengths to communicate with you. In His desire to commune with you and be in relationship you, He is calling out to you. God calls you to come closer to Him so that you may know Him and love Him more intimately. God calls you to receive His son, Jesus Christ, who in turn calls you to receive His saving grace, His Holy Spirit and eternity spent with Him in Heaven. God calls you into service so that He may work with you and through you for the purpose of accomplishing His glorious Will on earth.

God is the Author of life and Creator of the universe. The Heavens declare His glory and the Earth demonstrates His handiwork for all to see. It is impossible to look around you, above you or below you and not see God’s fingerprints or hear God’s voice. His Self-proclaiming witness calls out to all the world to stop, look and listen for Him. EVERYTHING bears witness to the fact that He is the One and only Almighty God.

“The Heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament shows His handiwork. Day unto day utters speech, and night unto night reveals knowledge. There is no speech nor language where Their voice is not heard. Their line has gone out through all the Earth and Their words to the end of the world.” Psalm 19:1-4

After the Universal Call to all comes a call to God’s people. Thsee people are called Believers who believe and receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Believers are called for the Great Commission which is a call for the disciples of Jesus to share His Gospel message with the nations.

Believers are those who have been pre-destined by God to be children of God. When new Believers hear the Word, they are called to repent of their sin, receive the Holy Spirit, develop a relationship with God, grow their faith, strive to be Holy, share their testimony with others and obey God at all costs. This cycle continues for all Believers until God calls His children home.

“Go and make disciples of all nations.” Matthew 28:19

“And this Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations and then the end will come.” Matthew 24:14

“And they (Believers) overcame him (Satan) by the blood of the Lamb (Jesus) and by the word of their testimony.” Revelations 12:11

After the Invitational Call, comes one that is more specific. This is a call that is made within the body of Believers who are also called the body of Christ who are also called the Church. This call is made to those who have been chosen, pre-ordained and annointed by God to execute a certain work within the Church for the purpose of teaching, training and edification. These people are called the ‘elect’.

“Many are called, but few are chosen.” Matthew 22:14

“And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God,…” Ephesians 4:11-12

For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.” Romans 8:29-30

In spite of all that God reveals to bear witness to His Word, to His Son and to His Glory, there are still those who refuse to see and hear God’s Truth. Thesee people are considered by God to be believers of the enemy. God still uses these people, however, He uses them as objects of wrath. Thinking themselves wise, thesee people have become fools. Their minds have been darkened and their hearts are hard. God will have no mercy for them. They will have no excuse for though they know of God, they choose to not glorify God. His wrath will burn hot against them.

“For the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God IS manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man — and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.” Romans 1:20

It is only by the calling of God that one can be saved. For in this calling, only God can open spiritual eyes that receive the wisdom and revelation that is necesssary to understand the things of God.

“And He (Jesus) said, “Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father.” John 6:65

“Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.” Ephesians 1:15-21

  • Do you desire a closer relationship with God?
  • Do you have a desire to know and understand the Word of God?
  • Do you recognize that life must consist of more than self-pleasure and a collection of stuff?
  • Does life as usual no longer satisfy you?
  • Do you experience a conviction of sin?
  • Do you want to be free of sin in your life?
  • Do you want to be saved from the penalty of sin which is death?
  • Do you experience a more heightened interest in spiritual things?
  • Do you sense that there is a greater purpose for your life?

wheat-weedsThe livelihood of a wheat farmer depends greatly upon the quality of their crop. If someone wanted to sabotage a farmer’s business, one way to do it would be to maliciously sow seeds of destructive weeds in among the wheat as this would affect the integrity of their crop.

In the Bible, Jesus told the Parable of The Wheat & The Tares (Weeds), to a multitude of people comparin it to the Kingdom of Heaven:

“The Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares (weeds) among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares (weeds) also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, “Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares (weeds)?” He said to them, “An enemy has done this.” The servants said to him, “You want us then to go and gather them up?” But he said, “No, lest while you gather up the tares (weeds) you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, ‘First gather together the tares (weeds) and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.'” Matthew 13:24-30

Jesus later gave the meaning of this Parable to His disciples as it is explained below:

“Then Jesus sent the multitude away and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the tares (weeds) of the field.” He answered and said to them: “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man (Jesus). The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the Kingdom, but the tares (weeds) are the sons of the wicked one (Satan). The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. Therefore as the tares (weeds) are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age. The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His Kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” Matthew 13: 36-43

Your enemy today, as it was in Jesus’ time, is still Satan. His age-old goal is, and always has been, to try his best to do everything he csn to oppose Jesus Christ. One of his most successful tactics is to compromise the integrity of Christ’s work by ‘planting’ false Believers and teachers into the world for the purpose of deceiving and misleading as many as he can. Those who fall prey to Satan’s traps are used to discredit, distort and mock God’s Word causing many Believers to be led astray to their detriment.

There are many people in this world who claim to be ‘Christians’ even though their words and actions say otherwise. These ‘counterfeit’ Believers make it very difficult for legitimate Christians, as well as the rest of the world, to know who is truly serving Jesus Christ. This is why it is so important that you have your own personal relationship with the Lord.

Although it is good to have fellow-saints around us such as pastors, teachers, etc. for instruction and fellowship, you must not depend on others to define God’s Word or this walk for you. You must know it and live it for yourself.

According to His Parable, Jesus allows the ‘weeds’ to remain with the ‘wheat’ but, only for a time so as not to uproot the immature crop. Christians who are ‘young’ in the faith require time to grow and mature. During this growth period, a ‘young’ Believer could easily be mistaken for a non-Christian. Because of this, you must be careful not to judge your fellow-Christian if they are in error. Pray for them, disciple them and encourage them.

Certain weeds, especially in the early stages of growth, look very similar to wheat. Therefore, through the analogy of wheat and weeds growing in a field together, Jesus warns that what we perceive as a false Believer may, in fact, be an immature Believer. People come to the Lord at different ages and stages in their life. We must be mindful of this fact as we encounter people every day. Do not judge others but instead speak and act in love. Only God knows for sure. “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.  By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.” 1 John 4:1-3

There are no shortcuts in this walk. You must go the long and arduous distance alone. Pray often, spend as much time with the Lord as you can, study your Word to show yourself approved by God and always test the spirit in others. “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them.Matthew 7:15-20

At the point of Christ’s return, the angels have been appointed to gather together the ‘weeds’ of this world for they are to be cast into a fiery destruction for all eternity. The saints, on the other hand, will be gathered together to be with Jesus. This walk is not an easy one but it is well worth it. Being transformed into the image of Christ will require time, sacrifice, discipline and some suffering too. This process of molding and purifying is not comfortable, yet all who truly love the Lord will have to go through it.

As you make your way through this journey, walk slowly without blinders. Look around you and be mindful of others. God is doing a work in their lives as well. The difference we make in the lives of others is a big part of why we are here. We ALL have an interactive job to do. It is given for some to plant and for others to water. Only God causes the growth and reaps the Harvest, in His time. Until then, be faithful, loving and obedient, in Jesus’ name.

As a child of God, you have been given keys to the Kingdom that give you the ability to bind (forbid) and loose (permit) powerful forces operating within the spiritual realm, in Jesus’ name. Are you walking in your authority?

God spoke the world, and everything in it, into existence by the power of His word. God made man in His image therefore our words also hold power. Our words do more than relay information. They stir up the spirit within us and cause change to happen within the spiritual realm. In essence, we are what we say and we will reap what we sew through our words.

” A man’s stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth; from the produce of his lips he shall be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” Proverbs 18:20-21

Understanding the spiritual principles that govern your words is vital and necesssary for powerful and effective prayer. Knowing what to say and what not to say can make the difference between receiving the blessings God has for you and retreiving self-pronounced curses that you speak over yourself. With your words, you will build up or you will tear down. With your words, you will affirm or afflict.

” There is one whose rash words are like sword thrusts, but the tongue of the wise bring healing.” Proverbs 12:18

Be careful about what you say. Your words carry more weight than you may realize. Your words will either confirm you or convict you in the presence of the Lord. For on Judgment Day, God will hold you accountable for every word your lips have ever spoken concerning yourself as well as others. By your words, you will either be justified or condemned.

“I tell you on the Day of Judgment, people will give account for every careless word they speak.” Matthew 12:36

As a child of God, you have been given the authority and the power to bind anything that comes against you and the plan God has for your life. Likewise, you have also been given the authority and the power to loose whatever has been bound by the enemy from benefiting and blessing you – all this in the name of Jesus.

“And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades (Hell) shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in Heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in Heaven.” Matthew 16:18-19

When you pray about a situation that is affecting you or yours, take authority over it as led by the Holy Spirit thereby causing change to manifest. This is the principal behind binding and loosing.  A child of God who prays with this principle in mind will yield great power and miraculous results.

“The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” James 5:16

Not long ago, I had a conversation with a friend who shared with me a time when he and his family took authority over a life and death situation and watched as God delivered an amazing miracle on behalf of their prayers.

During a season when wildfires are common in California, my friend learned that his son’s home was dangerously close to being destroyed. He and his family decided to pray an extraordinary prayer on his son’s behalf. Instead of simply praying for the safety of his son and his home, they went a step beyond. He and his family embraced the authority that was given to them by Jesus Christ…

My friend and his family prayed to bind the oxygen that surrounded the fire that threatened the home while and prayed to loose the chemical formation of H2O (water) in its place. Miraculously, changes took place in the atmosphere surrounding the wildfire and it began to rain – as well as snow – and the fire was put out! Needless to say, all was well with his son and his home. Praise God!

God honors the prayers of His people who honor Him by believing His word and taking the authority that He has given them and using it to dynamically affect their circumstances. You can do the same.

Heavenly Father, by the authority given to me by my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, I bind doubt and anything else that hinders Your children from believing and speaking forth powerful words that activate the supernatural power of prayer in their lives. I loose within them the faith they need to believe that they have the authority to boldly speak forth words of affirmation, abundance, productivity and fruitfulness into their lives and the lives of their loved ones, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

godly-parenting-family-article-witicles-olabisi-ajayi“The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world.”

Parents, the influence you have over your children is not one to be taken lightly for ‘the fruit rarely falls far from the tree.’

Child of God, you have been given the privilege and the responsibility of raising, guiding and training your children up according to the Word of the Lord. You will be held to an account for it by God.

Teach your children what it means to know and follow God’s Word at a very young age so their feet will be firmly planted on the Rock who will hold them steady in a world that desires to sift them. Your children have an enemy who is committed to doing whatever he can to destroy them. He wants to steal everything God has for them.

Teach your children to line their thoughts, their decisions and everything they will come to know in this world up against the Word of God. This will encourage them to think for themselves in a world that tries to think for them. This will train them for the leadership role God will soon reveal to them.

Teach your children that right and wrong is based in the infallible Word of God. It is absolute and should be their standard for everything they do and every decision they make in life. The world programs its own to believe that ‘truth’ is a relative term subject to one’s opinion. Teach your children the real Truth… while you still can.

Soon your child will reach the age of accountability. This is the age when God will hold him or her alone accountable for what they believe and do.  Although many believe the age of accountability to be twelve years, it is actually different for every child for God looks into the heart tof determine this. It has nothing to do with the amount of time they have been on this Earth. God knows the exact moment your child will come into the knowledge and the understanding of what is good and what is evil. At that designated age, God will hold your child fully accountable for the decisions they make in life and concerning their walk with Jesus. Each child will have to come to the Lord on their own merrits and completely independent of anyone else – including their parents.

Parents, there are children IN hell. Do your part to keep your child OUT.

God tells His people to teach His Word to their children so that the generations to come – including those who are yet to be born – will come into the knowledge of Him and His Word. This is so that we will set our hope anew on Him, so that we will not forget His glorious miracles and so that we will remain in obedience to Him, forever. (Psalm 78:5-7)

When we obey Gods commands concerning our children, God gives us the promise of HOPE. He promises us that if we train them up according to His ways and His wisdom and direct them onto the straight and narrow path that leads them to Him, “when they are old” they will not depart from Him.

Raising godly children is a sobering responsibility not to be taken lightly – but instead prayerfully, obediently and in full submission to Almighty God.

When I entered into a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ thirty years ago, I was naive about many things concerning God. Quite simply, I believed that once I haf given my life over to the Lord, He would wave an invisible magic wand over me causing me and my life to immediately become “blessed” by being trouble-free. When things did not go as I imagined it would, I was confused and disappointed. Not only did my life NOT become trouble free, I experienced even more trials and challenges.

Having not been discipled  by someone who had walked this walk before me, I did not understand that once you become a child of God, you immediately become an enemy of Satan’s.

There is spiritual warfare taking place all around us. For most, it cannot be seen with our physical eyes for it exists in the spiritual realm. The war is between two kingdoms – the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan. To live in this world as a Christian and not recognize this reality is a dangerous disadvantage to say the least for this battle is being fought to the death.

Spiritual warfare is not a battle that can be fought in the natural. As God has a Kingdom, Satan also has a kingdom and it is not to be underestimated.

Satan is a counterfeit. The entirety of his existence in this world is based on replicating and mocking God. He began in the Heavenly realm in service to God almighty, therefore he had an excellent model to copy. When Lucifer was cast out of Heaven, he took with him one third of the Angels that we now call demons. Lucifer became Satan and operated his kingdom in the second heaven situated above the Earth and below God’s Glory.

Satan is a master of deception therefore he set up a highly organized, structured kingdom modeled after the Kingdom of God complete with principalities (kings, princes, etc.) that govern over countries, states, cities, neighborhoods, nationalities and even people.

In the spiritual realm, Satan’s kingdom battles for control of our souls. Each true follower of Jesus Christ bares the mark of God which is seen by those who are under the rule of Satan. The world may be fooled by the false Christian, but in the spiritual realm all truth is revealed. Child of God, never forget that you are the prime target of Satan and all of his minions.

Beloved, we are at war! Satan, demons, evil spirits of all ranks and even people on this Earth who are committed to serving evil are aiming their efforts for destruction at you. You must fight! God demands and has equipped you to do just that. In this, be strong, be resolute and be encouraged for Jesus has already defeated Satan’s kingdom and has won this war.

When we believe and respond only to what we are capable of experiencing in the natural, we render ourselves dysfunctional as Christians. When we do this not only are we limiting ourselves, we are limiting God for the Lord moves according to our faith.

Christians who say they believe and yet are living their lives according to their own version of Christianity, and not according to the Word of God, will LOSE this war. You cannot fight on your own terms or in your own power.

The Bible tells us that we must put on the whole armor of God in order to withstand the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). “Stand your ground putting on the Belt of Truth and the Body Armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes put on the Peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the Shield of Faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on Salvation as your Helmet and take the Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. Pray at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all Believers everywhere. Ephesians 6:14-18

Read your Bible! Know your Bible! Live your Bible! Regardless of what church you may attend, you cannot trust the translation of the Word of God to anyone. God will speak to you concerning his Word. You will be held responsible for every step you take in your own walk.

Study your Word and do your homework. You can be sure that Satan has done his. Rest assured that he and his demons know everything about you. They know your strengths as well as your weaknesses. In fact, they count on your every flaw and will not hesitate to use all of them against you in their relentless pursuit to steal, kill and destroy you and your family.

You are the body of the Church. You, the Christian, are the sole enemy of Satan for the Church alone is the only entity powerful enough to defeat him and his kingdom. No one on this Earth has the ability and the power through Jesus Christ to do this but the Church. Jesus has commanded His disciples to occupy and subdue (Genesis 1:28) until He returns. If we, as the Church, do not stand up and fight on God’s behalf, who else will?

Jesus Christ is the greatest gift that will ever be given. He is the most extravagant gift you will ever receive. For a limited time only, He is extending His hand for you to follow Him. To follow Him is not to join a religion. To follow Him is to enter into an interactive,  one-on-one personal relationship with God almighty Himself.

There are many faiths and many religions in this world. Tell me what leader among them is the One and only virgin-born son of God? Who else has walked this Earth perfect and sinless? Who else has command over ALL the miracles? Who else rules over Satan and makes the demons tremble in fear at the sound of His name? Who else loves you so much that they gave themselves over to be brutally abused, mocked and crucified on a cross for you? Who else died and rose again to receive the victory over sin and death for you? Who else has ascended into Heaven to rule at the right hand of God? Who else is the Holy Groom who will return very soon to ransom His Bride who is His Church? Who else is God’s Word manifested? Who else will rule the Kingdom of God undefeated? Only One can make this claim. For only One is both Man and God unified. Only One. His name is Jesus, the Christ.

Will you receive this Gift as your very own?

stages-300x300This was the question I asked myself thirty years ago when I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. You see, I was not raised in a church and did not own a Bible until I was 27 years old. There was no one around to disciple me and, honestly, I felt completely lost because there was so much I did not understand. Although I was excited about my brand new life as a Christian, I knew nothing about the things of God. My first few years as a Christian, I made so many mistakes. I realized years later that my transition could have been much easier if I had been discipled which is why I am sharing this message.

Allow me to be completely honest with you. Following Jesus Christ will be the most difficult and the most rewarding experience you will ever encounter in your life. The sad fact of the matter is that not everyone will be able to see it through to the end for many people come to Christ for many reasons. However, only those who are called by God will be able to contend to the end. The Bible tells us “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The Highway to Hell is broad and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life (Heaven) is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.” (Matthew 7:13-14)

Relationship is the key. To successfully live the life of a Believer, you must have an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. Two-way communication is mandatory for this journey.

So, what do you do now that you are a brand new Christian? If you haven’t already, first be sure that you get baptized…

Jesus tells us: “Most assuredly, I say to you unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God.” (John 3:5) Baptism represents the partaking of the burial and raising of Jesus Christ so that we, too, may walk in the newness of life. It is for this reason, we are told to repent AND be baptized in His name for the forgiveness of our sins. The Bible also tells us that the baptism allows us to “receive the gift of the Holy Spirit(Acts 2:38) who is our Helper though out this walk.

The first thing Jesus did before He began His ministry was to be baptized, (Luke 3:21-22). Where do you go to get baptized? Any true follower of Jesus Christ (Believer) is authorized, according to Jesus Christ, to baptize. “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen. (Matthew 28: 19-20)

Baptism can be done in a true, Jesus-following church and even in a bathtub within the home of a true believer. As followers of Jesus Christ, we are to follow His example. So regardless of where you get baptized, get baptized as soon as you can!

You cannot truly follow Jesus Christ if you do not understand who He is or know His word. “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17

There is no substitute for reading your bible. Begin immediately and do it every day. There are many translations available. Find one that is most faithful to the original text. I recommend beginning with the King James Version or the New King James Version. If you are sincere in seeking Him, God will unlock the mysteries of His word to you and give you understanding. Set aside time when and where you can meditate on Him without being interrupted. Quality and quantity go hand-in-hand when it comes to reading your Word. The Bible telIs us that we are to “study to show ourselves approved unto God, a workman who need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word unto truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15). Remember this: God pursues those who pursue Him.

Jesus tells His followers to pray always without ceasing. Prayer, very simply, is talking to God just as you would talk to your very best friend for He is just that. In fact, you will find that He is the very best friend you will ever have. Talk to Him about everything. He cares about everything that concerns you. There is nothing too small or seemingly too insignificant that you can’t share with Him. Through prayer, you will be developing a very REAL and very intimate relationship with the true and living almighty, miraculous God. There’s nothing in the world like it.

My suggestion would be that you begin by praying every morning before you start your day and every evening before you go to bed. Also pray often throughout the day. Pray about everything. Pray for direction and guidance concerning every decision you make. Thank Him for all He has done, all He is doing and all He will do for you. Pray for others as well as yourself. If you find it difficult to find the words to pray, ask the Holy Spirit to guide your thoughts and He will. “When you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly you.” (Matthew 6:6)

The Christian life is not an easy life. As a true follower of Jesus Christ, you will be under constant attack and scrutiny from this world by way of Satan and his demons. As hard as it may be to understand this, know that this may even include your family members. It is good to fellowship with like-minded Christians. Jesus told His disciples that “A prophet is without honor only in his hometown, among his relatives, and in his own household.” Mark 6:4

You will need to be around those you trust for encouragement as well as correction. “And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but encouraging one another and so much the more as you see the Day (of Jesus’ return) approaching.” (Hebrews 10:24-25)

Also be mindful that we, as Christians, are warned to not be unequally yoked with non-believers. “Do not be deceived: Evil company corrupts good habits.” (1 Corinthians 15:33)

As a new Christian, the Lord will begin a miraculous new work in you. You will go through a process that will transform you from the old you into the fabulous new you that God created you to be. Now, this transformation doesn’t usually happen over night. The process of molding and re-shaping you into the spiritual image of Jesus Christ takes a lifetime. A brand new Spirit has come alive in you for God has an amazing work for you to do. How exciting! “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10)

Through Jesus Christ, your Lord and Savior, you have received salvation. You can now stand alongside of Him and claim your inheritance to the Kingdom of God. Through Him, you now have the authority and the power that delivers healing and deliverance. You have access to the throne of the one and only living God. There is much God is going to tell you, do with you and show you so keep a journal and share your excitement whenever you have the opportunity.

It is through your testimony, and the testimony of others, that Jesus Christ will be shared throughout the world. It is also through your testimony that You share in the victory of overcoming Satan and the evil that is temporarily in this world. “And they (Christians) overcame him (Satan) by the blood of the Lamb (Jesus) and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” (Revelation 12:11)

As you continue in your faith and your walk, remember that there is nothing you have done that was deserving of this wonderful blessing that you have received through Jesus Christ. You have been saved by grace alone. Even still, God has started a work in you and His promise is to finish it. “Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;” (Philippians 1:6)

Only God knows the plans He has for you. Only God knows of your special call. Pray for the leading of the Holy Spirit to know it and then receive it by faith. Pray for spiritual sensitivity to hear Him so that you can obey His every word. “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11

Now, welcome to the family and remember that in all things to God be all the glory!
