“Now I saw a new Heaven and a new Earth, for the first Earth and the first Heaven had passed away. Also, there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the Holy City, New Jerusalem, coming down out of Heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from Heaven saying, “Behold, the Tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them and they will be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. THERE SHALL BE NO MORE PAIN for former things have passed away.” Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write for these words are true and faithful.” Revelation 21:1-5

What was shown to John is destined to come to past when the old Earth gives way to the new after Jesus’ second coming. As scripture states, in that New Place, there will be no more pain for there will be no more death, there will be no more sorrow and there will be no more crying for the old things will have passed away.

What are the old things that will pass away? The sin and the evil that is in this world. But this blissful event will happen only when ALL things have become new and are fully submitted to God such as it will be in the New World that is to come.

This New Place that will consist of an unimaginable peace and joy clearly does not describe the current world we live in today. For clearly this world, and the people who live in it, do not fully submit to God. Therefore the influence of evil and the effects of sin will continue to run rampant.

Is it really God’s fault that good people go through bad things? Let’s think about this question. Do you allow God to control everything you do? I would guess not. Have you made decisions that you knew were going to negatively affect others? Of course you have. Multiply that times the amount of people that are in this world and imagine the worst case scenario. What you have as the result is the world that we live in. We are not puppets and God is not a master puppeteer operating all of our strings from Heaven to His liking. He has given us free will to make our own decisions – even if they are completely devoid of Him. This is where our problems originate.

If God really was the culprit, the new world – that will be completely submitted to God along with all the good people living within it – would also be a place full of pain and all of its causes but scripture clearly states that It will be absent of all these things. The truth is that it is not God’s fault that we experience the pain that we do here on this Earth, it is the fault of the people. It is the evil that resides in their hearts and the sinful actions that are birthed from that evil that causes all of the suffering we experience.

As long as we live on this Earth, we will all be subjected to pain for here lives the fallible and imperfect and it is the fallible and imperfect that fall prey to evil and sin. The only escape we have from it all is through the hope we have in Jesus Christ. He is the only One who is worthy of our praise. He is the only One who loves us unconditionally. He is the only One whose promises are never broken. He is the only One guaranteed to never disappoint us. He is the only One and only those who truly follow Him today will be able to follow Him tomorrow into the glorious new after the old has passed away. Only then will we experience NO MORE PAIN.

This message is for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear.
